been a while...

I've been SO busy these first few days of school.
Last night was instrument rental night. It went well, much more organized than last year.
I've also been planning dates and events that aren't even happening until next semester...it's crazy!
There's the usual shuffle of students in and out of classes, having to change the schedule a thousand and one times...
Now I'm watching old 7th Heaven episodes...I love this show...

1st day of classes...

I think I might actually be somewhat kinda organized....

I'm scaring myself....

really...

Do you buy it?

Papi, Manny and Willy are all being sent back (are sent back?) to Boston...together...

Have you ever seen the three of them hanging out before/during/after the games? They're like the Three Stooges! Is someone chaperoning them? Maybe they're all hanging out at Jillian's shooting pool....

RIP

``Someone just said, `Gabriel, move over to second trumpet,' '' Steve Schankman (friend and manager) said from his St. Louis office. ``He was the last of the greats. That era is closed. There is no Kenton, no Basie, no Ellington, and now, no Ferguson.''

First Day Back...sortof

Well today was staff day. It was chock full of information...only confirming my thoughts of having two staff days before we get swarmed by students. Oh well...

I'm getting excited about the possibilities of a new year, yet nervous that I won't be able to clean up the corner of my classroom by the end of my prep period tomorrow. ;-)

Tomorrow is a day of meeting new faces, and greeting familiar ones. I can't wait to meet the new ones, and catch up with the "old".

Here's to getting up at the a**-crack of dawn tomorrow! ;-)

Here we go...

Today is staff day! Back into the swing of things...

Last Day of Freedom

Today was the last day of summer vacation. I spent it doing laundry, exciting, huh? I did get to meet the family over in Littleton at Ken's American Cafe for dinner though. At least I did have some fun on my last day! Dinner was great, I love that restaurant (and my family as well!!)
Well, tomorrow is staff day, and the kiddos all come through the doors on Tuesday...there's no turning back now...

I'm going to miss this...

I'm starting to get excited about the upcoming school year (good thing, it starts Tuesday) but I think I need one more week. I'm going to miss waking up when I want, going to bed when I want, doing anything I want all day...I'm going to miss doing whatever I want. (Thanks annoying little kid from Kissimee)

Manny just STOP....

I am watching the Sox game right now (d*** those west coast games!!!)

Manny just strolled into third base with men on base and two outs. No slide, no running hard....just strolled right into third, while the third baseman easily tags him out. The bobbled ball never hits the ground, so I agree with the call, however mad it makes me. Manny, listen, Red Sox Nation is pleading with you, put some effort into it. You can't always hit a home run, deal with it, at some point in the game you are going to have to run. RUN! DO IT!

Manny, you have cost us this game. If there is a defining moment in this game, that was it. Defining moments should not be from a lackluster performance. David Wells did a great job pitching tonight, and once again, we have nothing to show from it.

Now you have done it Manny, you made me compliment David Wells........

Finally

I had to restart my computer, and download Picasa2 from Google, but my blog page is finally done! yay! Now I am officially a geek! (like I needed further reassurance)

Mike is at Jay's picking his fantasy football draft, so I have the apartment to myself for the night. What to do first??

Picture of Me

This is actually not that bad of a photo...This is from the Westford Chorus' production of Carmen last spring. Posted by Picasa

My first blog

I'm trying to be good and clean my apartment...however...I get bored of that very quickly....so I am doing this instead while watching a PawSox game on the tv. At least it is more exciting that the Red Sox games have been recently.

I am also in a state of shock at how much clutter I have accumulated in this place! Everywhere I look there is something that needs to be picked up. I am running out of room to put it!!

Ok...back to the scrubbing, vacuuming, laundry, organizing.....HELP!!
