Updated Shutterfly photos!

I don't know why it's taken so long, but here are some updated photos on my shutterfly account. I even added photos from Amy's wedding & bachelorette party....it's been a while!! There are also photos from Mia's baby shower and my trips to DC. There are some photos of work around the house and some of Piper. (there are only a few there now, I will be adding more in the next few days, I'm sure!)

Piper seems to be getting used to our place, and us as well. She is definitely learning sit & stay (sort of). She comes when we call her in the house, but not so much outside. She escaped my grasp yesterday, and she thought we were playing as I chased her through the neighbor's yard, and even on the edge of the street - talk about a heart attack!!

She had an accident or two the first night, but has been fine since then. She has no problem being penned in the basement at night, and doesn't whine. We haven't heard her bark yet either!

She is very curious, and likes to check everything out. You have to have a firm grasp on her leash, or she'll take you for a ride! I stopped her from going into the pond after a frog yesterday.

Visiting Virginia

This is a picture of me and the newest member of the family, Leah. She's my cousin's daughter, born on May 30th. Isn't she adorable?

my new toy

A Pentax Optio W30 Waterproof Digital Camera.

IT CAN GO UNDERWATER!!! Up to 10 feet for 2 hours!

How cool is that?

Here are some pics of me playing with just one of the MANY functions on the camera. There are a lot of of editing features as well as filter, flash and other features.

A pic of me using the self-portrait function.

The same pic with the red filter on, so that the red colors are made more prominent in a black and white photo.

This year's Christmas Decorations

Here are pics of our tree and our Willow Tree Nativity Scene.

This is what the boy and I did on Sunday afternoon, after the NVCB played an AWESOME concert at the Ayer Town Hall. A bunch of us (the boy included) went over to JP's afterwards for a late lunch/early dinner.

It was a blast! :-)

New pictures

I have added some long overdue pics to my shutterfly account! Check them out!

gorgeous views

I took a walk today. I needed to get some quarters for our washer/dryer, so I needed to go to the bank. It's about 2 miles away, so I decided to hoof it. It was gorgeous outside, so it wasn't bad. I stopped at the gas station to buy a bottle of water. The scariest part of the walk was that there are NO sidewalks along rte 111, so I was constantly on the lookout for cars who didn't see me. I was a good girl and walked against the traffic like I am supposed to!

I got my roll of quarters, and I also stopped at Video Signals, where they now sell used books. I bought "I Love Paul Revere, Whether He Rode or Not", which talks about American historical myths. I've only read a few pages, but it's pretty interesting. I also got "Waiting for Teddy Williams", which I have yet to start reading. I figure if it lasts that long, I can bring it on my trip with Debbie.

On my way back, I stopped to drink some water on the edge of this pond, across from the church.

Isn't it pretty?
That stick-looking thing in the green gunk is actually a little tiny beaver. He wouldn't come close enough to me to get a good picture. I guess he's camera shy.

There were also little tiny orange fish in the pond, but the pictures didn't come out, I just kept seeing reflections because it was so sunny outside.

house cleaning

Here are some things I hung on my wall while cleaning the apartment Monday. The fan came from my mom's house, and is now hanging in my hallway. The picture I bought at a flea market in the fall, and just now got around to hanging in the dining room.

I'm an artist!

Here's my attempt to be artistic. I was designing the program for this weekend's NVCB concert (Sunday May 6 @ 2 pm - Ayer HS Auditorium), and I needed some art for the cover, so I decided to make my own.
What do you think?

Spring has sprung

I planted Sweet Pea seeds, and they're sprouting!!! I haven't killed them! (yet)

Another pretty sight

This one is from the parking lot in our apartment building. I'm sorry it's a little blurry, but it was getting dark outside. In case you can't tell, that's a sofa on top of a GIANT pile of bark mulch.
HA!

THIS is New England!

The boy and I went out to the Olive Garden tonight for dinner, and went driving around afterwards to see the pretty spring sights. This is one of the pretty sights we saw. :-)

I don't know where it is, but I had to pull over to get a picture.

A little late...

Here are some pics from Easter weekend. The hydrangeas are from Chip, the roses from Mom F., and the froggy from Dad F. The froggy sings...he's so cute!

so sad

I love flowers, but they never last long enough.

This bouquet is a mixture of three different bouquets. The roses and carnations are from my students after the show last weekend. Some more roses and the lilies are from the boy after the show last weekend. The daffodils I bought from a fundraiser at the school.
It was so pretty. I'll be drying the roses and babies breath to add to my rather morbid looking dried roses bouquet.

Does Barbie live in Harvard????

A pink house....seriously.....

Pretty views

While doing some errands yesterday, I ended up on the back roads of Harvard (over by the Fruitlands museum and farm). I had to stop to take a look out my window. The pictures don't do it justice...it was breath-taking...

Budding Photographer

This pictures doesn't do it justice...AT ALL....I tried though...

This is a picture of the Sankaty Head lighthouse on Nantucket. I took this photo, standing at the bottom, and looking up. There's a lot of play with the sunlight.

I got the photo blown up to 11x14 for only $2 thanks to Shutterfly.com.

It is now hanging in our bedroom....I LOVE IT!!!!

Oh what a beautiful morning....

Oh what a beautiful day!

(I had to take the photo with the flash on, because Mike still has to tweek the carving...the candle keeps going out, there's not enough air getting in)

And here's MY pumpkin!!!

(In case you can't tell what it is, it's ghosts looking out a window)
