I love IMDB

While watching "Impact" the tv miniseries, I was going crazy trying to figure out where I knew the actor James Cromwell from. Now I know - "Babe".

stupid American Idol

American Idol keeps running over time, which causes me to miss the last 5 minutes (at least) of Fringe on the DVR. At least I'll be able to find it online tomorrow. I guess only two judges talking for each contestant was STILL not short enough. Maybe they should cut down on the stupid crap in between. They're obviously not timing this correctly. They need a run-through or to re-examine their time allotments for their montages and what not.

I'm missing Fringe DARN IT!

stupid dance moves!

I try to like Megan Corkrey - but I really can't.

I listen with an open mind, and I try to like her. I try to find it. I can't do it. I want to, but I can't.

She moves around strangely, she has a weird sort of accent when she sings, there's a strange nasally sound to her voice and I just can't. I can't.

American Idol

So far, we have Michael, Danny and Alexis.

HOW THE !@$@# did Michael get through?!?
He shouldn't have even gotten this far. Anoop and Ricky were far better - even that really obnoxious Tatiana was better than Michael.

argh

random "Buffy" info

Did anyone else know that Alyson Hannigan (Willow) married Alexis Denisof (Wesley)? Is this common knowledge, or am I just missing things here?

wow. cool. :-)

I KNEW I recognized her!!

I've been watching "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", because I am obsessed...

I saw the creepy, red-haired, Irish, creepy, robot-woman (did I mention creepy?) and I thought I recognized her -

She's Shirley Manson, frontwoman to the band "Garbage". Remember them from the 90s??

I think she's great, creepy, but great!

Massachusetts connections

Erik Per Sullivan -- Dewey from "Malcolm in the Middle" is from Worcester!

His father owns the Alamo mexican restaurant in Milford.

He's all grown-up looking now! He's also attending Phillips Exeter.
This is why I love IMDB.com

New favorite show

It's a great show - based in Boston!

Can't tell if it is the intriguing sci-fi-geekiness of the plot that makes me watch or the fact that I was obsessed with Josh Jackson on Dawson's Creek...

Doesn't really matter-I'll watch it either way.

Random tidbit of info

Do you remember the show "Dinosaurs"?

And the baby - "not the mama!"

Kevin Clash was his voice.

You may not recognize his name, but I bet you'd recognize his other voice -

Yup - sweet little Elmo has the same voice as the little devilish dinosaur baby

David vs. David

Who will be the Goliath that is slain?

Cook sounded great. Did Archuleta sound better?

Was anyone actually listening to Rueben as he sang, or were they just watching the video clips?

Did anyone else notice that the song that David A. sang (the new one that no one knows) had a line that sounded A LOT like the song "Don't Cry Out Loud"? It was driving me nuts!!

We'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.

And now...it's time for Hell's Kitchen!

American Idol

I am shocked. Carly is gone. How is Brooke there over Carly? Or John Michaels (or Michael Johns - whatever his name was).

And how cool was Lord Andrew Lloyd Weber??

argh...cliffhangers!!

Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles definitely gave a doozy of one tonight - blow up the car with the girl in it and leave us - how rude!!

Do you remember Captain Planet?

I ran across a group in Facebook today called "F**** Heart...Captain Planet doesn't need him".

I laughed hysterically. Out loud.

Simply because I couldn't agree more. Earth, wind, water, fire....and.....heart???? What sort of power was that? Everything else was an element, and then there's .....heart??? Do you remember the sound the rings made? Earth-Rumble! Wind-Woosh! Water-Wahhh! Fire-Sssshhhh! and Heart-wopwopwop. How lame.

Quick! The world is in trouble! I know - let's cause an earthquake or use the force of wind to blow the badguys away, or flood them out, or use fire to chase them away...Ma-ti? what can you do? LOVE them to death?!?!

wop wop wop

The kid to beat on American Idol

Are you watching?

David Archuleta sang John Lennon's "Imagine" and it was INCREDIBLE.

I'm sure I will be able to find it on Youtube later, but for now, I just needed to share...

WOW!!!

Cool Facts

These are some pretty interesting facts about the show Law & Order: SVU

Richard Belzer carried his role of Det. John Munch over from the series "Homicide: Life on the Street" (1993). He also played John Munch in "Law & Order" (1990) which had several crossover episodes with "Homicide", an episode of "The X Files" (1993), an episode of "The Beat" (2000), an episode of "Law & Order: Trial by Jury" (2005) and the finale of "Arrested Development" (2003). This is a record for appearances by an actor playing the same character in different

Many of the actors on the show previously starred on the HBO drama "Oz" (1997) including Dean Winters and B.D. Wong. Most notable, and ironic, is Christopher Meloni (Detective Stabler) who played a sadistic rapist and murderer on OZ and now hunts them on SVU.

that's a lot of diapers

I'm watching TLC this morning, and there's apparently a marathon of shows about people with an OBSCENE amount of children.

There's one couple who had fertility treatments and had a set of twins. They tried for one more, and got SIX for a total of EIGHT children.

There was another couple who had 12 children. This was an interesting family where (unless there was some SERIOUS editing) everyone in the family seemed to genuinely get along. All of the children pitched in to help clean (there was a 6 year old vacuuming). It was kinda cool to see. I'm not saying I want a dozen children, but it was cool to see.

There was also another couple who had 17, yes, I said 17 children. There was only one set of multiples (twins). That poor woman gave birth 16 times (and I think she said 7 of them were at home). I guess after the 4th or 5th birth they probably just start falling out on their own. This family ranged in age from 4-31, so at least they're spread out.

Wow, it makes you think about how many children you would really want to have. I'm thinking 3. That's 14 less than one of those families! (which still boggles the mind)

But I guess none of them were as large as Bach's family.

One thing I have learned tonight

The Osmond family does NOT believe in birth control.

George and Olive Osmond (that's a kind of unfortunate name) had:
9 children
55 grandchildren
and
48 great grandchildren

That is a LOT of procreation. I don't know the exact ratio of boys::girls, but it's pretty lopsided there too.

And people wonder why the world is so overcrowded. I don't. I blame the Osmonds. Crazy singing procreating family...

My new favorite obsession

I can't stop watching it! Now that we have DVR, I can record the four or five episodes a DAY that are on tv. It's great. I never started watching it until this summer. I've seen episodes from the beginning, middle, and end. Maybe I should buy the series on DVD...

The boy's new toy

Check out our GIANT new television!!!!
42" LCD HD 1080p
I think that's all the important numbers and letters!
It's like having a movie theatre in our living room. We moved our old tv into the bedroom, and got rid of the tv I've had since high school. sniff sniff. It worked alright, you couldn't read any fine print (i.e. scores on the Red Sox games), but it still played the shows, although it would sometimes randomly turn off and on cuz the button was stuck inside the set, but it WORKED darn it! But it was for the best...LOOK AT THIS BEAST!!!

I'm a little annoyed...

Halfway through Grey's Anatomy, and I want to see what's going on in Seattle, NOT Beverly Hills. Most of this episode so far is setting up Addison's spin off series.

NOT COOL
